Revitalisasi Psikospiritual

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of burnout and declining ministry satisfaction among clergy due to service routines that neglect personal spiritual intake. The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of a "Psychospiritual Revitalization" program through intensive Bible Study on increasing ministry satisfaction and reducing exhaustion. This study employs a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Participants consisted of 63 clergy members selected through purposive sampling. The measurement instrument used an adaptation of the Francis Burnout Inventory. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test as the post-test data were not normally distributed. The results showed a highly significant impact. There was a significant increase in Ministry Satisfaction (Z = -6.861, p < 0.001) with the mean score rising from 40.73 to 47.27. Conversely, there was a significant decrease in Exhaustion levels (Z = -6.915, p < 0.001) with the mean score dropping from 23.06 to 16.75. These findings confirm that Bible study functions effectively as a religious coping mechanism and a balanced affect strategy, where increased spiritual satisfaction can mitigate the effects of emotional exhaustion. The implication is that scriptural study discipline must be a top priority in maintaining the mental health of the clergy.
