THE ROLE OF PARTS OF SPEECH IN FORMING GRAMMATICAL CONCEPTS AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
This article analyzes the scientific and methodological foundations of forming grammatical concepts in primary school students and the specific role of teaching parts of speech in this process. As the core of native language instruction in primary education, parts of speech directly influence the development of students' logical thinking and coherent speech. The article examines the issues of developing skills for grouping words according to their lexico-grammatical features and distinguishing their semantic and formal characteristics. Particular emphasis is placed on explaining the differences between notional and functional parts of speech, as well as revealing the role of functional words in ensuring syntactic connection within a sentence. In the course of the study, theoretical propositions are combined with practical tasks, didactic games, and modern interactive teaching technologies (innovative methods). The article concludes by identifying effective ways of systematic teaching of parts of speech to improve the grammatical literacy of primary school students.
