FEATURES OF THE PORTRAIT GENRE IN ART

This article analyzes the portrait genre in art and its nature of conveying the inner world of a person, his personal abilities through artistic means. The artist’s worldview was also reflected, and his ability to convey to the viewer his moral experience, aspirations and hopes through his works was analyzed. A portrait is not just an image of a person’s external appearance, but a complex image of a person’s psychology and inner world. Taking a portrait image, entering the thoughts of the person depicted, we understand not only the person himself, but also the world around him through the prism of his feelings and thoughts.
