CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE OPERATIONAL CURRICULUM OF EDUCATIONAL UNITS (KOSP) IN ISLAMIC SCHOOLS
At the school level, curriculum development is implemented through the School Operational Curriculum (KOSP), which is designed based on the characteristics and vision of each educational institution. This study aims to analyze the implementation of curriculum development concepts in an Islamic educational institution through an examination of the KOSP document of Sekolah Islam Plus Tahfidz Ibnu Umar. This study employed a qualitative approach using the document analysis method. The primary data were obtained from the KOSP document, while supporting data were collected from relevant scholarly literature on curriculum development. The findings reveal that the KOSP has implemented the principles of curriculum development through the integration of the national curriculum and the Islamic curriculum (diniyah), the organization of learning activities, character-building programs, and the formulation of graduate competency profiles that reflect the application of philosophical, psychological, sociological, and science and technology (IPTEK) foundations. The novelty of this study lies in its analysis of the relationship between curriculum development concepts and their implementation within the School Operational Curriculum (KOSP) in an Islamic educational institution. The findings demonstrate that KOSP functions not merely as an administrative document but also as a strategic instrument for translating national curriculum policies into contextual learning practices aligned with the school's characteristics.
