PARTICLE-SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF IRRIGATED SIEROZEM-MEADOW SOILS IN THE MIRZACHUL REGION
This study investigates the particle-size distribution of irrigated sierozem-meadow soils in the Mirzachul region and its variation across the soil profile. The study is based on data from 10 soil profiles located in the U. Yusupov massif of Boyovut District and the Dehqonobod massif of Mirzaobod District. A comparative analysis was conducted of the physical clay content, soil textural classes, and their distribution across soil layers. The results show that physical clay content ranges from 19.1% to 45.2%. Medium loam soils predominate in the U. Yusupov massif of Boyovut District, whereas medium loam, light loam, and sandy loam soil layers occur in the Dehqonobod massif of Mirzaobod District. These findings are relevant to the assessment of soil agrophysical properties and the improvement of irrigation management practices.
