Peningkatan Kualitas Pembelajaran di MTs Nafidatunnajah Rawa Kalong Bogor Jawa Barat melalui Metode Active Learning

The quality of learning in Islamic schools is determined not only by teachers’ mastery of subject matter but also by students’ active involvement in constructing knowledge, developing critical thinking skills, and solving problems. Teacher-centered learning approaches may limit students’ participation, creativity, and learning independence. Therefore, a more interactive approach that addresses students’ needs is required. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the quality of learning at MTs Nafidatunnajah, Rawa Kalong, Bogor, West Java, through the implementation of the active learning method. The implementation process includes identifying learning needs, introducing active learning strategies to teachers, assisting in the application of these methods through group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, problem-solving activities, and presentations, as well as evaluating students’ engagement throughout the learning process. The evaluation focuses on participation, motivation, interaction, collaboration, and comprehension of learning materials. The expected outcomes include increased student engagement, greater confidence in expressing opinions, and improved communication and critical thinking skills. In practical terms, this program is expected to encourage teachers to develop innovative, collaborative, and student-centered learning practices. The implications of this program include strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competencies and fostering a participatory learning culture within the school environment. Thus, the implementation of active learning represents a strategic alternative for supporting sustainable improvements in learning quality. Its successful implementation should be followed by measurable evaluation and the consistent integration of active learning strategies tailored to students’ characteristics and the learning context of the Islamic school.
