THE LITERARY INTERPRETATION OF THE OPPOSITION BETWEEN PROGRESS AND TRADITIONS IN THE NOVEL "YALDO KECHASI"
This article examines the literary interpretation of the opposition between progress and traditions in Khayriddin Sulton’s novel Yaldo kechasi (2025). It substantiates the portrayal of tradition in the novel not as an immutable phenomenon, but as a cultural phenomenon that is reshaped in meaning under new social conditions. The article analyzes the conflict surrounding the “Najot” school, the connection between the confrontation of traditionalists and Jadid reformers and colonial policies, and the contradictions underlying the choices made by different generations.
