EFFECT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TRAINING ON SELECTED PHYSICAL FITNESS AND MUSCULAR ENDURANCE COMPONENTS AMONG FEMALE B.P.ED. STUDENTS

Abstract: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of physical educationtraining on selected physical fitness and muscular endurance components among womenBachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) students of Dr. MMR College of PhysicalEducation, Thangadepally,Choutuppal. The study consisted of 30 female B.P.Ed. studentsaged between 20 and 25 years, who were selected randomly. The participants underwent asemester-long physical education training programme comprising 100 working days andinvolving various training modalities designed to develop physical fitness and muscularendurance. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted to assess changes in the selected variables. The collected data were statistically analysed using the paired-samples t-test to determine thesignificance of differences between pre-test and post-test scores. The findings of the studyrevealed that physical education training significantly improved the selected physical fitnessand muscular endurance components among women B.P.Ed. students. The study concludedthat regular and systematic physical education training plays an important role in enhancingphysical fitness and muscular endurance among female physical education students.
