Emergency Oncofertility Fast-Track in Full-Cycle Oncofertility
A new diagnosis in a person of reproductive age (including children) and at least one of: start of gonadotoxic therapy ≤ 14 days; high or moderate gonadotoxicity; HSCT conditioning; pelvic irradiation [A].Method. An electronic alert from the oncologist to the navigator in a single message. Minimum dataset:diagnosis and stage; therapy plan and start date; tumour hormonal status; age and pubertal status; cytopenias/coagulation; anaesthesia risk (for example, mediastinal mass); partner/guardians; language of communication.Medical “stop conditions” (decision of the oncologist/haematologist and the anaesthesiologist, not the navigator): unstable condition, uncontrolled infection, marked cytopenia or coagulopathy by local thresholds, high anaesthetic risk. Then: narrow the method (for example, sperm only; tissue after risk assessment), or defer with a written “second window” plan [G/A].
