CULTURAL BOUNDARIES OF COMMUNICATION AND PECULIARITIES OF INTERCULTURAL RELATIONS
In any field of modern life, the ability to interact effectively with people is one of the key factors in achieving success. A successful career, reliable and loyal friends, a well-established personal life, and recognition—all of this depends on a person's ability to engage in effective communication. In the communication process, the formation of messages and their interpretation depend on the culture to which the individuals involved in the process belong. Differences between people and cultural diversity relate to every aspect of communication. Even for speakers of the same language, the transmission and comprehension of meanings are shaped by cultural differences. This includes: ethnic, religious, age, gender, social, or educational barriers. Different ethnic groups employ different rules for the construction and interpretation of messages. The purpose of the paper is to show that although communication primarily involves verbal communication, non-verbal communication also plays an equally important role in this process, especially in interactions between people with different cultural experiences. The signs and means of non-verbal communication are different, or the same sign is perceived differently in different cultures, that is why it becomes a source of a number of misunderstandings and problems. In order to avoid this, it is necessary to study and research these differences across different cultures. Intercultural misunderstandings are the source of a number of problems. If we do not understand cultural diversity, do not master the skills to interact effectively with people who are completely different from us, or do not have the desire to do so, our world will significantly worsen.
