ON THE ISSUE OF INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF USING THE RESOURCE POTENTIAL OF THE ARCTIC ZONE OF RUSSIA

The article examines some of the problems related to improving the efficiency of using the resource potential of Russia’s Arctic zone, with a particular focus on demographic issues. The author proposes: to build modern, environmentally friendly, innovative, high tech enterprises; to develop production and social infrastructure; to create Arctic support settlements with a high standard of living; to establish vocational and higher educational institutions, sectoral research institutes and their branches; and to organize internal labour migration.
