Pengembangan Sistem POS Terintegrasi sebagai Solusi Digitalisasi Operasional Bisnis POLBEANS
Digitalization of business operations is essential to improve service effectiveness, data management efficiency, and the quality of decision-making. This community service activity aimed to develop and implement an Integrated Point of Sale (POS) System as a solution for digitalizing the business operations of POLBEANS at the Business Incubator of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. The main problems encountered were the semi-manual processes of transaction management, inventory management, and administrative record-keeping, which potentially resulted in recording errors and delays in obtaining business information. The activities included needs identification through observation and interviews, system design, POS application development, testing, implementation, and training for managers and users. The implemented system provides features for managing sales transactions, product inventory, financial records and reports, as well as integrated operational monitoring. The results show that the development and implementation of the POS system successfully digitalized POLBEANS' operational processes, making transaction and inventory records more structured, improving reporting efficiency, and enabling faster monitoring of operational information. In addition to providing benefits for POLBEANS' business management, this activity also supports the strengthening of the teaching factory and technology-based entrepreneurship learning for students. Therefore, the implemented POS System can serve as a solution to support digital transformation and improve the management of business units at Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis.
