Evaluation Of The Accuracy Of Diagnosis Coding Based On Icd-10 For Inpatient Care To Support Accurate Reporting Of The Top 10 Diseases At Jatisari Regional General Hospital (Rsud Jatisari)

This study aimed to determine the accuracy of ICD-10 diagnosis coding among inpatients at Jatisari Regional Hospital during January–March 2026. A retrospective descriptive quantitative method was used on 256 medical records from 710 cases. The results showed that 218 records (85.16%) were accurate and complete, while 38 (14.84%) were inaccurate or incomplete. The most common diagnosis was Bronchopneumonia J18.0, with 69 cases (26.95%). It was therefore concluded that coding accuracy needs to be improved to support the accuracy of top 10 disease reporting. It is recommended that code verification and coordination with medical personnel be conducted when diagnoses are unclear.
