Assessment of Knowledge Regarding Prevention and Awareness of TB Control Measures Among Post Treatment Patients in Community, Lahore

This thesis investigated and assessed the level of knowledge of among post treatment TB patient prevention and awareness of TB control measures in community Lahore. The study was aimed at assessment of knowledge regarding prevention and awareness of TB measures among post treatment TB patient in community of Bahar colony premises for a period of 4weeks. The chosen research design is a descriptive cross sectional study which facilitated a comprehensive assessment of knowledge of prevention and awareness of TB measures among post treatment TB patient in Community. Utilizing slovin’s sampling formula, a sample size of 143 post treatment TB patients was determined from a total population to 950 at Community of Bahar colony Lahore. In order to select participants meeting convenient including inclusion criteria, the post treatment TB patient’s age more than 80 years are actively involved in study. The study did not include the patient who was mentally unstable and age more than 80 years. Data were collected and analyzed using SPSS (version 22) with analysis involving the presentation of data in percentage and frequency form, supplemented by visual representation. such as bar charts. The aim of this methodological approach was to provide a comprehensive understanding of Knowledge of post treatment TB patients at community of Bahar colony in the area of prevention and awareness of TB measure. Valuable insight has been gained from analysis and methods in order to improve the knowledge of post treatment TB patients regarding prevention and awareness of TB control measures. The results highlight areas of strength and weakness in participants' knowledge about TB, informing potential education and awareness initiatives. It provides insight into participant’s knowledge about Tb transmission ، prevention control and more.
