EBHIS Local Volume Galaxy Hi Survey ( LVGHIS )

ABSTRACT Here, we present the “Local Volume Galaxy Hi Survey” (LVGHIS). It is based on the first data release of the Milky Way portion of the Effelsberg Bonn Hi ‐Survey (EBHIS). We homogeneously measured the mass and dynamics of the local volume galaxies within the radial velocity limit of and distances . The catalog compiles single–dish Hi spectral line observations of 203 galaxies and 17 groups north of . The LVGHIS galaxy catalog includes moment zero maps, Hi spectra and the essential parameters derived for each individual galaxy. Because of the very reliable bandpass–calibration of EBHIS, LVGHIS offers Hi masses limited mainly by distance uncertainties. The Hi masses range between to , exploring dwarfs to grand spirals. Our primary goal is to provide reliable line integrated flux values of local volume galaxies, ideal to supplement radio–interferometric measurements affected by the zero–spacing issue. LVGHIS products will be available online.
