ECR Spotlight – Camille Lemonnier

ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from a selection of papers published in Journal of Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity of early-career researchers (ECRs) working in experimental biology but also the huge variety of animals and physiological systems that are essential for the ‘comparative’ approach. Camille Lemonnier is an author on ‘ Penguins maintain effort, despite reduced dive efficiency, with limited physiological response under increased swimming workload’, published in JEB. Camille conducted the research described in this article while a PhD student in Vincent Viblanc's lab at Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien, Strasbourg, France. Camille is now a Postdoctoral research fellow in the lab of Frederick Verbruggen at Ghent University, Belgium, investigating how individuals make decisions for foraging, mating and dispersing depending on environmental conditions and how that can affect population resilience.

Abstract

ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from a selection of papers published in Journal of Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity of early-career researchers (ECRs) working in experimental biology but also the huge variety of animals and physiological systems that are essential for the ‘comparative’ approach. Camille Lemonnier is an author on ‘ Penguins maintain effort, despite reduced dive efficiency, with limited physiological response under increased swimming workload’, published in JEB.
