DEVELOPING EXPRESSIVE READING SKILLS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
In this article, the authors, drawing on various sources, analyze the essence of expres sive reading and what this concept encompasses. Teaching students accurate, expressive, and conscious reading in elementary school is one of the main goals of school education. Furthermore, it has been established that expressive reading requires students to develop a certain minimum set of skills related to speech culture (voice strength and tone, timbre, tempo and rhythm, pauses, melody, syntagmatic and logical stress). It also examined how all means of intonation, expressiveness of speech and reading are enhanced by general speech technique - breathing, diction and orthographically correct pronunciation.
