Green Transition: Mechanism for Restructuring the Business Model of an Industrial Enterprise

In the context of the global energy transition and increasingly stringent environmental requirements in international markets, Russian industry faces the challenge of systemically transforming its business models to achieve national development goals. Despite the existence of individual ESG initiatives at the enterprise level, Russia lacks comprehensive mechanisms for integrating sustainable development principles into key components of industrial production business models. This study aims to develop and test an organizational and economic mechanism for restructuring an industrial enterprise's business model in line with green economy requirements. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of an algorithm for the green transition of an industrial enterprise that integrates Russia's national development goals into corporate strategy. The proposed mechanism was tested using the example of a large chemical company, AO KAUSTIK. The practical significance lies in the possibility of applying this mechanism to enterprises in the chemical and related industries for the systemic transformation of business models, taking into account sustainable development requirements and national priorities.
