Landlord control over shared air-conditioning and health among residents of single-room dwellings (jjokbang) in Seoul: preregistration of a replication in the 2024 Seoul Jjokbang Resident Survey

Preregistration (version 1.0) of a confirmatory replication, in the 2024 Seoul Jjokbang Resident Survey, of an exploratory 2023 analysis of landlord control over shared hallway air-conditioning and health among residents of single-room dwellings (jjokbang) in Seoul, Korea. Co-primary outcomes: depressive symptoms and poor self-rated health; key secondary outcome: unmet non-dental healthcare need. The plan follows the OSF "Preregistration for secondary data analysis" template. It was deposited before any 2024 cooling item was inspected and before any 2024 model was fitted. Institutional Review Board review covering the 2024 data was pending at deposit; no analysis will be run before approval, and the approval will be recorded in a new version of this record. Files: the preregistration (PDF), the analysis code, a synthetic-data dry-run script, the power simulation, the 2023 estimates used for the consistency test, and the dated 2023 analysis plan. No survey data are included.
