Real-time Monitoring of Water Contamination to Ensure Human Health
NIAGARA is an innovative project focused on monitoring chemical and biological pollution in drinking water at Drinking Water Treatment Plants (DWTPs). It exploresnew biotechnological technologies for pollutant removal, assesses potential toxicological effects, and predicts their spread and human exposure. Additionally,NIAGARA provides a comprehensive evaluation of these solutions, examining overall toxicity, risks, and sustainability for future scalability. By addressing the challengesDWTPs face in combating drinking water pollution, NIAGARA contributes to ensuring safe and high-quality drinking water. This initiative represents a significanttechnological advancement and a strong commitment to public health and well-being.
