Hubungan Lingkungan Pendidikan Dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Sekecamatan Jerowaru
Currently, there are still many students who lack a supportive social environment, causing them to face obstacles in their studies. We often find that the social environment greatly influences students’ academic achievement—especially their performance in school. Many students spend their time simply playing with their friends; they are unwilling to study because their peers are not studying either. This study aims to: 1) Determine the relationship between the family environment and the academic achievement of Madrasah Aliyah students in the Jerowaru subdistrict during the 2019/2020 school year; 2) Determine the relationship between the school environment and the academic achievement of Madrasah Aliyah students in the Jerowaru subdistrict during the 2019/2020 school year; 3) To determine the relationship between the community environment and the academic achievement of Madrasah Aliyah students in the Jerowaru subdistrict during the 2019/2020 academic year. This study is an ex-post facto study with a sample of 100 students selected from a total population of 868 students using Proportionate Random Sampling and the Harry King nomogram to determine the sample size with a 10% margin of error. The population consisted of students from Madrasah Aliyah schools in the Jerowaru subdistrict, totaling 10 schools. The data were analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation. The results showed that, individually, the family environment was positively and significantly correlated with academic achievement (r = 0.391; p < 0.05). The community environment is positively and significantly correlated with academic achievement (r = 0.249; p < 0.05). The school environment has the strongest correlation, while the community environment has the weakest correlation with the academic achievement of Madrasah Aliyah students in the Jerowaru subdistrict during the 2019/2020 school year. The higher the correlation coefficient, the better the correlation model, as the independent variables can better explain the dependent variable.
