Causal Discreteness: A Derived Grain, Stated in Two Literatures That Postulate Theirs

This frame does not postulate discreteness. It derives one, and the derivation is narrower than the word suggests, so I state it at its exact size first. In Campaign II (Wave 61, October 28, 2026), measurement inside the frame was priced as a posting at the sever: something crosses from unbooked to booked, and the bookkeeping changes by a count. One sever posts q_post = 5.276535×10³⁶ nats. Under Axiom H, adopted and never derived, the horizon count runs in cells at an allotment of 1/4 nat per cell, and 1/4 nat is 0.360673760 bits, which is less than one bit. One cell cannot carry a binary outcome. Two cells post 0.721347520 bits and cannot either. Three cells post 1.082021281 bits, and that is the first count that can. The minimum binary measurement in this frame is a 3-cell event. Outcome discreteness has a derived grain of 3 cells, conditional on the adopted quarter. If the quarter falls, the grain falls with it, and the discreteness itself survives on counts alone, because postings are counts whether or not anyone adopts an allotment for them. Two mature literatures own discreteness as a postulate, and this paper translates the derived grain into each one's own terms so a reader in either field can grade the claim without trusting it. Causal set theory: the house count is not a causal set. It carries no partial order, its number law is a number–area law on a boundary rather than a number–volume law in a bulk, and its density is set by the twist length ℓ_T = 7.425305×10⁻¹⁷ m rather than the Planck length. Grade: ADDRESS, with the direction of the implication printed — they postulate as kinematics what this frame derives a boundary cousin of from bookkeeping, and the cousin is not the object they postulate. Causal dynamical triangulations: the frame makes no prediction about dimensional running, and none can be extracted, because the frame contains no diffusion process and its discreteness is a count it keeps, where CDT's triangulation is a regulator it removes. Grade: RHYME. The home headline is not spent anywhere in what follows: the vacuum catastrophe stands NOT SOLVED / PARTIAL, producing-count 0. Grades as printed in the paper: causal sets ADDRESS; CDT RHYME; NOT SOLVED present at full size.
