IDENTIFIKASI DAERAH RAWAN KEBAKARAN HUTAN DAN LAHAN BERBASIS SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS DI BANJARBARU KALIMANTAN SELATAN

Climate change is not only experienced by one country but globally, including Indonesia. Indonesia has also experienced quite rapid changes. This study aims to identify and analyze areas prone to forest and land fires by mapping through the Geographic Information System (GIS). The research was conducted in the city of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. This research is a type of quantitative research, the data collected is in the form of hotspot data, land surface temperature data, and rainfall data so that later it will be made into a map of forest and land fire vulnerability. The result of this study is that most of the Banjarbaru City area is included in the medium to high fire risk category. Cempaka and Liang Anggang sub-districts are areas with higher fire vulnerability, supported by factors such as dry vegetation conditions, high surface temperatures (LST), fluctuating rainfall, and high density of hotspots. Land cover analysis shows that areas dominated by open land and settlements have a greater risk of fire. Human activities around the area also contribute to the increased risk of forest and land fires
