Examining Digital Human Resource Practices in Karachi, Pakistan: The Influence of Technological Change, Employee Attitude, and Employee Competency

This study examines the influence of Technological Change (TC) on Digital Human Resource Practices (DHRP), focusing on the roles of Employee Attitude (EA) and Employee Competency (EC) in Karachi, Pakistan. Data were collected from 244 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that Technological Change significantly and positively influences DHRP and Employee Attitude, while Employee Attitude significantly enhances DHRP. Employee Competency significantly moderates the relationship between Employee Attitude and DHRP, but the negative interaction effect does not support the hypothesized positive moderation. The study provides implications for digital HR implementation and future research.
