Penguatan Kompetensi Guru dalam Mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Menggunakan Canva AI
Teachers' competence in designing technology-based interactive learning media is one of the key factors for successful 21st-century learning. However, initial mapping at SMP Plus Aisyah Samawa revealed that approximately 70% of teachers still relied on conventional learning media, and more than 80% were unfamiliar with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) features of the Canva design platform, such as Magic Design, AI Presentation, and Text to Image. This community service program aimed to strengthen teachers' technical and pedagogical competence in developing interactive learning media using Canva AI, integrated with lesson plans (RPP) or teaching modules. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation (socialization, hands-on training with a 30% theory–70% practice composition, and classroom technology application), and evaluation, supported by three months of intensive post-training mentoring. Program success indicators were measured through pretest–posttest score improvements, the percentage of teachers producing interactive learning media products, and the integration of such media into lesson plans or teaching modules. The results showed an improvement in teachers' competence in utilizing Canva's AI features and an increase in student engagement during the learning process. This program is expected to serve as a replicable model for strengthening teachers' digital literacy in other pesantren-based schools in Sumbawa Regency, while contributing to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
