The Potential of Antioxidant Therapy for Friedreich and Spinocerebellar Ataxias

This paper explores the use of antioxidants as a therapeutic approach for inherited Ataxias. This can be supported by the following fact; most Ataxia forms result from oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction and thus can be effectively addressed through antioxidant therapy, e.g., coenzyme Q, idebenone, or Vitamin E.
