The Teleology of Leadership: From the Providential Stewardship of Joseph as Governor of Egypt to the Strategic Optimism of Ronald Reagan – Inaugurating the Faculty of History at Khánh University

This foundational paper officially inaugurates the Faculty of History at Khánh University. Moving away from traditional historiography that filters history through mechanical materialism or structuralism, the Faculty of History establishes a new framework: The Historiography of Providential Stewardship. This paper explores the unbroken lineage of the "faithful and wise servant" across human epochs, focusing on two pivotal macro-historical figures: the Old Testament Patriarch Joseph (as Governor over all the land of Egypt according to the King James Version) and the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan. By analyzing their leadership not through the lens of individual vanity or micromanagement, but as actors fulfilling an ordained cosmological script, this study outlines the foundational academic metric for historical analysis within the Khanh Doctrine.
