Technological advancements in the modern era have brought about significant changes in the educational landscape, including within Islamic education. The advent of digital technology and artificial intelligence has facilitated access to learning resources, the management of instruction, and the expansion of communication, while also supporting the work of both educators and learners. However, these developments also present challenges regarding the digital access gap, technological dependency, academic integrity, data security, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. This article aims to analyze modern technological developments through the perspective of the philosophy of Islamic education, grounding its analysis in the concepts of knowledge, ethics, the human being, and the purpose of education. The study employs a literature review methodology, examining various scholarly journals, books, and credible sources relevant to the philosophy of Islamic education, educational technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The findings indicate that technology offers significant potential to enhance the quality of and access to education, provided it is utilized in alignment with educational needs and objectives. The philosophy of Islamic education views technology as a tool to assist humans in acquiring and developing knowledge, rather than as a substitute for human beings or the ultimate goal of education. The use of technology must be accompanied by critical thinking skills, responsibility, honesty, the strengthening of moral character, and a commitment to equitable access. Educators continue to play a vital role as guides and role models in directing the use of technology. Islamic education in the modern era must strike a balance between digital proficiency and Islamic values to ensure that technological advancements foster the development of individuals who are knowledgeable, critical, responsible, and morally upright.
