Interacting with digital environments in context: implications for mental health
Cognitive and emotional perception of digital environments: implications for mental healthDigital environments have become integral to contemporary life, shaping how individuals learn, communicate, seek information, form social relationships, and understand their own physical and psychological well-being.These environments can be useful, engaging, and socially supportive, thereby contributing to both individual and collective well-being.At the same time, their rapid expansion has generated new questions concerning the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral consequences of increasingly sustained interaction with digital technologies. The acceleration of digital learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent large-scale development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) have made these questions particularly pressing.
