ComposersCamp: A Web Platform for Learning Music Composition by Writing, Playing and Listening — Platform Overview and the Music Fundamentals Module (White Paper v1.0)

ComposersCamp is a web platform for learning music theory and composition in which learners write on a staff, play and listen inside the browser. This white paper gives a public overview of the platform as of October 2026. It describes the audience, from beginners on a phone to trained students, and the pedagogical approach: lessons follow a Learn, Practice and Create cycle; exercises are answered by writing notation or by ear, not by multiple choice; feedback is immediate; and each lesson ends in a short composition task. It then presents the Music Fundamentals module: four chapters and 65 sections, each chapter closing with a skill validation and a composition challenge. No learner outcome data exist yet; the paper claims no effectiveness and outlines a planned pilot study
