Brain pericytes express Sox9 and Sox11.

The brain is populated with hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cell types, each with residence in the CNS. We profiled total gene expression in the brain through RNA-sequencing. We demonstrate here that the brain pericyte is enriched for expression of Sox9 and Sox11.

Abstract

The brain is populated with hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cell types, each with residence in the CNS. We profiled total gene expression in the brain through RNA-sequencing. We demonstrate here that the brain pericyte is enriched for expression of Sox9 and Sox11.
