ANALISIS MANAJEMEN KELAS BERBASIS PENDEKATAN DEEP LEARNING DALAM MENDUKUNG KETERLIBATAN SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS SEKOLAH DASAR

Objective: Student engagement is a key indicator of the success of IPAS learning in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze classroom management based on the Deep Learning Approach in supporting student engagement in IPAS learning and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. Methods: This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at SDN Gondang. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. Results: The findings indicate that classroom management based on the Deep Learning Approach was implemented through learning activity planning, interaction management, learning environment organization, and learning reflection. The implementation contributed to increased student engagement across cognitive, behavioral, and emotional dimensions, improving from 60% to 89.52%. Supporting factors included teacher readiness, effective lesson planning, varied learning activities, and positive interactions, while the main challenges involved differences in students’ abilities and limited instructional time. Novelty: This study contributes by examining the integration of classroom management and the Deep Learning Approach as a pedagogical strategy to enhance student engagement in elementary school IPAS learning, an area that remains relatively underexplored in the Indonesian elementary education context.
