Supporting Research Careers in Europe: From Policy to Better Careers for Stronger Innovation
Policy recommendations and good practices to improve research career development across Europe, particularly for early-career researchers. This report is the final joint deliverable of COST’s Cross-Cutting Activity on Career Development for Young Researchers and Innovators, and addresses challenges related to career support, employment conditions, recognition of research experience, intersectoral mobility, and equitable opportunities. It proposes coordinated actions at institutional, national, and European levels to strengthen career pathways, promote cooperation across sectors, and improve Europe’s research and innovation capacity.
