AI-Based Powered Pediatric Patients Engagement Platform
Patient engagement is an important part of healthcare because care continues beyond a consultation. Families may need to understand care instructions, prepare for appointments, maintain routines, and communicate concerns to healthcare providers. Pediatric engagement has additional considerations: information should be appropriate for a child's developmental stage, and parents or guardians commonly play a central role in decisions and day-to-day care.Digital platforms can provide a convenient place for educational content, reminders, and communication support. AI techniques may help organize information or adapt the wording of general educational content. However, health information is safety-sensitive, and AI-generated responses may be incomplete or incorrect. A pediatric platform should therefore use reviewed content, clear limitations, appropriate consent, and routes to human care. This manuscript outlines a proposed AI-supported engagement platform. The final manuscript should be updated to match the actual software, features, data handling, and tests completed by the project team.
