Spirit of Borneo sebagai Penggerak Pemberdayaan UMKM Kreatif Kalimantan Timur

This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of local MSMEs in Samarinda through the Spirit of Borneo bazaar, which provided a strategic marketing space for entrepreneurs without permanent business locations. The activity addressed common challenges such as limited promotional channels, low digital marketing skills, and the absence of legal business permits. The four-day event included product exhibitions, talk shows, workshops, and interactive sessions that brought together MSME participants and visitors. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings showed that the bazaar successfully increased product exposure, created opportunities for direct sales, and expanded business networks among MSMEs. Participants also gained better understanding of business legality processes through the talk show sessions. The program received positive responses, indicated by high visitor engagement and active MSME participation. Overall, the Spirit of Borneo bazaar proved to be an effective platform for supporting MSME development and promoting local creative products, demonstrating that structured promotional activities can enhance the competitiveness of small businesses.
