Volitional Fascial Unbinding and Autonomic Regulation: A 6-Year Phenomenological Case Study of a Family Dyad (N=2)

Background: Conventional medical frameworks rely on third-person measurements, whichmay underrepresent fine-grained interoceptive data accessible through phenomenology. This6-year family dyad study explored the "Double-S" framework (somatic fascial unbinding andsubconscious autonomic regulation) via endogenous interoceptive training. Methods: The study spanned from April 2020 to April 2026. During the first three years, theprimary subject (N=1) and a secondary subject (N=1, the subject's 72-year-old mother) eachcompleted over 1,500 hours of synchronized, systematic interoceptive training, followed bythree years of self-directed maintenance. Data were recorded using a structured log (P-series:physical pathways; M-series: mechanistic hypotheses). Potential confounders weredocumented. Results: The primary subject reported volitional detection and release of deep fascial tension, including cross-midline transmission, transient autonomic responses (e.g., palpitations), andvisceral events (e.g., abnormal yellow mucus secretion during a bowel movement). Thesecondary subject reported a sensation of lightness in the head and complete cessation ofcold-induced headaches and dizziness. A localized herpes zoster outbreak in the secondarysubject healed without reported neuropathic pain; at a 19-month follow-up, the newly formedscars had completely resolved. However, the spontaneous course of the disease andconcurrent traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment cannot be excluded. Conclusion: These phenomenological observations suggest that following extensive training,top-down cognitive control may modulate fascial tension and defensive autonomic responses. The data are hypothesis-generating, not confirmatory. They outline an endogenous regulatorycapacity distinct from invasive brain-computer interfaces.
