PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN FILSAFAT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN KESADARAN ETIS MAHASISWA DI ERA ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education requires students to possess strong critical thinking skills and ethical awareness. This study aims to analyze the effect of philosophy education on students’ critical thinking skills and ethical awareness in the AI era. The study employed an explanatory quantitative approach involving 200 university students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics through validity testing, reliability testing, regression assumption testing, and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that philosophy education had a positive and significant effect on critical thinking skills (β = 0.698; p < 0.001; R² = 0.487) and ethical awareness (β = 0.649; p < 0.001; R² = 0.421). These findings confirm that philosophy education plays an important role in developing students who are able to evaluate information, verify AI-generated outputs, and use technology critically, reflectively, and responsibly.
