Sox9 controls expression of the master non-coding RNA, the Sox2 overlapping transcript Sox2-OT.

We demonstrate through measurement of total transcription by RNA-sequencing across a collection of artificial settings the existence of a non-coding RNA that supports transformation, an overlapping transcript encoded by the Sox2 locus, Sox2-OT.
