Two Boundaries in Time: The pairing step, translated into the two-state-vector formalism - and where the translation stops
The home step of my vacuum work is a piece of bookkeeping: entries occur in equal opposite pairs, the pairs cancel exactly, and a constant unpaired remainder is the only part that weighs. This paper carries that step into the one formalism in physics built on a pair of boundaries in time, the two-state-vector formalism of Aharonov, Bergmann and Lebowitz, and asks whether the remainder survives the trip. The cancellation survives. It survives in a stronger form than the home version has earned, because the formalism owns the operator my pairing rule still owes. The remainder does not survive. Every candidate image of it either cancels exactly when the ledger is closed over all future boundaries, or depends on which future boundary the experimenter chose, or grows without bound as the two boundaries approach orthogonality and stops existing at orthogonality itself. A constant remainder, the same at every birth, has no image in this formalism. Cell S1xTIME of the Transplant Census grades RHYME, and the toll registered for it in advance is not paid. The home headline is untouched by any of this: the vacuum catastrophe is NOT SOLVED / PARTIAL, and the toll at the seam stands exactly where it stood. The survival ruling, printed for the record of the companion paper that cites this cell: S1xTIME does not survive translation. The cancellation translates exactly; the constant unpaired remainder does not. The cell grades RHYME, and TP-5's citation of this cell as support stands withdrawn at the source: the import carries no load.
