RESILIENSI DAN BEBAN TEKNOSTRES AKADEMISI MENGHADAPI SENTRALISASI ADMINISTRASI DIGITAL DI INDONESIA

The implementation of the centralized SISTER-BKD information system in Indonesia has caused academic technostress in the form of digital anxiety, mental fatigue, and disruption to the three pillars of higher education due to data redundancy and server failures. This study aims to explore the manifestations of this technostress while analyzing the construction of academic resilience among tenured faculty members within a centralized regulatory environment. A descriptive qualitative approach with a multiple-case study design was applied to four religious institutions: UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Universitas Darunnajah Jakarta, STIT Darul Ishlah, and STIES Darul Huda. Primary data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and triangulation with official performance reporting documents. The research findings indicate that faculty members are not merely passive objects of the information system but actively build agency through self-directed coping, peer collaboration, intergenerational transfer of technological literacy, and spiritual adaptation to reduce mental strain. University leadership, in collaboration with relevant ministries, is recommended to restructure the system into a one-stop integration model and provide a responsive, human-centered technological safety net. Digital governance reforms that strike a balance between system automation and respect for faculty members’ psychosocial well-being will ensure sustainable academic quality.
