Mandatory Safety Huddles: Do They Improve Nursing Performance by Increasing Patient Safety?
This presentation explores how mandatory safety huddles improve nursing performance by increasing patient safety. The Donabedian structure-process-outcome model is used as the theoretical framework, and three different academic, peer-reviewed articles are used as evidence to support the claim. There are recommendations for practice, as well as an interactive case study to encourage thinking about huddles.
