Methods. The research methodology is based on the method of theoretical analysis and systematization of project approach methods and their use in practical calculations of financial assessment of the effectiveness of an investment project. Results. The existing methods of project analysis are ordered, systematized and analyzed, their comparative characteristics are proposed and the calculation of the indicators necessary for their practical use is given. The necessity of using an integrated approach in the selection of indicators for assessing the financial effectiveness of investment projects is substantiated. Based on the methods and indicators considered, an assessment of the financial efficiency and expediency of a specific investment project was carried out. Conclusions. For a comprehensive review of the financial effectiveness of the project, several assessment methods must be applied. Conclusions are based on a comparison of the results obtained with the estimates of other similar projects, if any. If there are none, then the choice of an effective project should be chosen based on the importance of the set of performance indicators considered.
