Exploring Islamic Educational Management Strategies for Strengthening Digital Leadership and Institutional Resilience in Contemporary Islamic Schools

The rapid development of digital technologies has created new opportunities and challenges for Islamic schools, requiring educational leaders to strengthen managerial capabilities while preserving institutional identity and Islamic educational values. However, digital transformation is often approached primarily as a technological initiative rather than an integrated management process connecting leadership, organizational culture, human resource development, and institutional resilience. This study aims to explore Islamic educational management strategies for strengthening digital leadership and institutional resilience in contemporary Islamic schools. It employs a qualitative library research approach through the critical examination and thematic synthesis of scholarly articles, academic books, and relevant institutional publications concerning Islamic educational management, digital leadership, organizational resilience, and educational technology. The literature is analyzed through identification of recurring concepts, comparison of theoretical perspectives, thematic categorization, and conceptual integration. The synthesis identifies five interrelated strategic dimensions: Islamic value-based digital leadership, digital capacity development, adaptive and data-informed governance, collaborative organizational learning, and sustainable digital infrastructure with ethical safeguards. These strategies are conceptually associated with three institutional resilience capabilities: anticipating disruption, maintaining essential educational functions during disruption, and adapting organizational practices following change. The study proposes an integrative framework positioning Islamic values as the normative foundation connecting digital leadership with institutional resilience. It contributes a conceptual perspective for educational leaders seeking to balance technological innovation, educational continuity, organizational adaptability, and the preservation of Islamic identity.
