Effectiveness of the application of sports massage in the system of training and recovery of athletes
The article highlights modern approaches to the application of sports massage in the system of training and recovery of athletes. Its importance as one of the leading means of optimizing the functional state of athletes, increasing the efficiency of the training process and preventing overstrain of the musculoskeletal system is substantiated. The physiological mechanisms of the influence of massage on the body of athletes are analyzed, in particular its effect on the neuromuscular, cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. It has been established that the systematic use of sports massage contributes to improving peripheral blood circulation, accelerating the elimination of metabolic products, normalizing muscle tone and increasing the readiness of athletes to perform repeated training loads. Special attention is paid to the features of the use of various types of sports massage depending on the specialization of athletes: sprinters, middle and long-distance runners, jumpers and throwers. The place of preliminary, training, restorative and therapeutic massage in the structure of the annual training cycle is considered. The feasibility of the comprehensive use of massage together with modern means of physical rehabilitation and recovery of athletes is emphasized.
