³¹P NMR of Brain Energetics: No Evidence for Consciousness Physics — E8 Intelligence Research
FINDING: ³¹P is a spin-½ nucleus (I = 1/2), the only stable phosphorus isotope, making it the biological NMR probe for brain energetics — but the search returned no evidence linking it to consciousness-as-physics. MATH: - Nuclear spin quantum number: I = 1/2 → two eigenstates m_I = ±1/2 (α, β) - Composition: Z = 15 protons, N = 16 neutrons, A = 31 - Parity: Z odd, N even → A odd → fermion, I = half-integer (consistent with I = 1/2) - Zeeman splitting: ΔE = γℏB₀, Larmor ν = γB₀/2π; γ(³¹P) ≈ 17.235 MHz/T (≈40.5% of ¹H's 42.58 MHz/T) - NMR sensitivity ∝ γ³ (or γ² at fixed field) → ³¹P ≈ 6.6% of ¹H per nucleus; natural abundance 100% partially compensates - Chemical shift range ≈ 30–50 ppm (orthophosphate reference, 85% H₃PO₄) - Key biological resonances: PCr, ATP (α, β, γ), Pi, phosphomonoesters/diesters CONNECTION: - No geometric-harmony constant (0.382, 0.618, 0.786, 1.618, 2.618) appears in the retrieved material. The only ratio present is γ(³¹P)/γ(¹H) ≈ 0.405 — not a recognized harm Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series.
