Relacionando Conocimiento Especializado del Profesor de Matemáticas y Enseñanza de Comprensión Robusta en una planificación de enseñanza de ecuaciones lineales

We present the design of a lesson plan for teaching linear equations to secondary school students (aged 12 to 15), grounded in the theoretical frameworks of Mathematics Teachers’ Specialized Knowledge (MTSK) and Teaching for Robust Understanding (TRU). From an exploratory perspective, this is a qualitative study employing an instrumental case study design. The lesson plan was developed by a secondary school teacher with guidance from a researcher who is a member of the Ibero-American MTSK Network, contributed to the development of the MTSK model, and has expertise in TRU. Additionally, we present elements drawn from the teacher’s reflection on the design process, which contribute to improving their teaching practice and may also inform the work of other mathematics teachers and teacher educators.
