Context Curation: An Art Practice in Which the Context Is the Work
Context curation is an art practice in which the context is the work. The practitioner builds relations between existing works, biographies, statements and other material, and gives those relations form through visual language and text. The source works stay unaltered and attributed to their makers. The practitioner declares the context as their own construction, does not judge the value of the works, and does not replace the makers' accounts with a preferred interpretation. The practice was developed and named by Hoang-Dan Pham for Hand-Fetish-Projects on 25 October 2026, after the practice itself had begun. It is one of the practices of Algorithmic Postmodernism, a frame originated by the same author. Its first instance is SEAthrough Issue 01 (October 2026).
