THE ROLE OF THE IL-10 -1082G/A (RS1800896) GENE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NONSPECIFIC ULCERATIVE COLITIS IN PATIENTS
Inflammatory bowel diseases are gastrointestinal disorders characterized by dysregulation of immune responses and pronounced dysbiosis, which in turn leads to chronic relapsing inflammation of the intestine. Environmental factors, as well as cytokines (pro- and anti-inflammatory) of the immune system and the genes that regulate them, play an important role in the pathogenesis of the disease.
