A Sodium-Based Microporous Metal–Organic Framework Built on 2 Tetranuclear Clusters for Size-Dependent Sorting of Hexane Isomers
Abstract The construction of alkali metal-based metal–organic frameworks (AMOFs) with permanent porosity represents a notable challenge. Here we report a novel sodium-based MOF, designated HIAM-113, built on tetranuclear Na4 clusters and a tetracarboxylate linker. HIAM-113 features high structural robustness and one-dimensional channels that are optimal for size-sieving separation of hexane isomers.
