Generalized weighted extropy of linear consecutive k-out-of-n:G systems: theory and applications

Motivated by the growing developments in consecutive k-out-of-n:G systems, this article investigates the generalized weighted extropy in the framework of consecutive k-out-of-n:G systems. Explicit expressions for the proposed measure are derived, and several theoretical properties and bounds are established along with illustrative examples. Furthermore, a non-parametric estimator of the proposed measure is introduced, and its consistency is studied in detail. To examine the finite-sample performance of the estimator, an extensive simulation study is conducted and the applicability of the proposed methodology is demonstrated through real data analysis. Finally, the proposed measure is applied to feature extraction from image data, demonstrating its practical relevance and effectiveness in image processing applications.
